Prior to joining OBDC, Tanner was the Assistant Deputy Director of the Economic Development Division within the Ohio Department of Development. She worked to stimulate economic growth and job creation by offering targeted business development programs and services. Tanner also was an integral member of the merger team that established the Ohio Economic Development Association, a nonprofit association dedicated to strengthening the economic climate in Ohio by being the resource for education, information, advocacy and networking opportunities for economic development practitioners.
A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, Tanner began her career in economic development at the Southern Ohio Growth Partnership. Tanner holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Marketing from Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky. She is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council. Tanner is a resident of Pataskala, where she lives with her husband, Tony, and their two daughters.
